Inspired by actual events (ie. Kirri has nothing to cook for dinner tonight).

Mother Hubbard has found her cupboard bare. She is writing out a shopping list of cupboard essentials so that she's ready next time.

Name one single, long life cupboard essential. No repetition. Must keep for a month at least. Must be essential (if someone has said black peppercorns, you can't then have ground black). That said, if someone already put ground in, you could have peppercorns. If English mustard is in you could have powder but not visa versa. One item only.

Before beginning, I will grace you all with a lovely little rhyme, risque as it is.

Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard
To fetch her poor dog a bone,
But when she bent over, Rover took over
And gave her a bone of his own.

That said, my essential item is a bottle of Worcestershire sauce.

Continental Rice - any type, although I prefer rich beef and mushroom. Can be cooked as a side-dish or throw in some meat with it and have it as a main.

Good to see you back
